First Day of School
Xander's first day of school was yesterday! He goes to the daycare that's onsite at MJHS. The daycare is for the kids of faculty & staff. W e love it! Al gets to visit Xander during the day, have lunch with him, etc.
Xander is no longer in the nursery class! He's now in the 1-year-old class. Now, that he's moved up, he gets to play on the playground, sit at the table for lunch (no more high chair), instead of a crib he has a little bed...he's becoming such a big boy!
Daddy, do I have to go in there?
Can't we just go home and go swimming?
So, let me tell you about my first day...
...it was so much fun!
We celebrated Xander's first day back at school with cupcakes! Thanks for the cupcakes, Jessica!
Yummy Yummy Yummy!

It's Starting...
...to look a lot like football season! Every year in late July we get our program pictures made. It's so exciting! The coaching staff, team, cheerleaders, parents, etc. are all there! You can feel the energy & excitement! Everyone is counting down to kickoff!
On Saturday, we had a super busy day planned. We had so much to do I didn't really know how we were going to do everything. But, our plans changed.
Xander was so sick. I took him to his pediatrician on Thursday and she couldn't tell me what was wrong with him. I had to wait 'til Thursday night for the results of his blood work. His pediatrician had warned me he might have to go to Children's. I was on pins & needles waiting for my phone to ring! Thankfully his pediatrician called with good news on his blood work! He was a-ok other than having a yucky, terrible virus!
So, we cancelled all of our plans (other than program pics) and spent Saturday at home!

Blooper: Xander & His Swim Trunks
Al & Xander have had such a fun summer! Every day they’re doing something different. I received a super funny text from Al a few days ago. Here it is:
Parent Blooper: I was wrestling Xander to get his swim trunks on and finally got them on. Later, we go in to the bathroom and I notice he keeps falling over & over. Fearing the worst, I finally notice that I have put both legs through the same hole in his trunks. He hadn’t broken his leg; it was just a parent’s mistake!
I laughed so hard! Funny boys!
The below pictures have nothing to do with the text Al sent. Just some pictures from Sunday!

Getting a good picture of these two together is almost impossible!
I love his profile!

Super Saturday
We had such a fun weekend! Al had a passing camp in KY, so Xander & I took a little road trip to Cookeville! Andrea & Anna picked us up and we were on our way to visit Julie & Liza. Once we were at Julie's, the kids played while we spent some time catching up. We had planned to go to Burgess Falls but we hadn't really planned our mode of transportation. We HAD to all ride together! So, what did we do? We put Anna, Liza & Xander in the backseat and Andrea, Julie & me rode up front. Up front? Yep, we were all up front! If you don't believe me, see for yourself! We have pictures to prove it! We had a great time at Burgess Falls!
Guess what else we had fun doing? Returning to Julie's house from Burgess Falls! We had fun exploring "alternate routes" and enjoyed the scenic drive; lots of horses, cows & pastures. We didn't need a GPS. Nope, not us! Please don't ask how long it took us to get back to Julie's or what route we took. Just know we made it!
Once Al was home from KY we headed to a birthday party! The party was for Liz (Al's cousin Jim & his wife Mary's little girl). Liz turned 2 and had an awesome Tinkerbell birthday party! We got there late and missed all the water fun. But, we arrived in time for the delicious dinner and yummy cake & ice cream! I had my camera with me and didn't take a single picture! I think I was too busy trying to keep up with Xander. We had a great time!

My Sweet Boy!
I was so on top of getting all of Xander's pictures made. Then, when it came time for his one year pics I was two months late! I didn't get them made 'til he was 14 months! Yikes! He always does so well when someone else takes his pictures. I can take 50 pictures and I'm lucky to get one good one!
So excited to be blogging!
Hello! I'm so excited to be blogging! I tried blogging two years ago. I think I may have posted five posts. Then, I found out I was pregnant and my blogging days were over. Ever since Xander came along I've wanted to blog, but just haven't taken the time. But, here I am giving blogging another try!
This blog is still under construction. I can't get the header I want to work. I'm still adding/deleting stuff. But, it will be completely finished soon. One of my resolutions for 2010 was to start blogging. The year may be half-over, but hey, I'm getting started!
