Do you ever get a song stuck in your head and it just won't go away? Thanks to Xander and the show Yo Gabba Gabba, I can't get the song "There's a Party in My Tummy" out of my head! I catch myself singing it all the time! Xander doesn't really watch TV, other than sports (he loves to watch football, basketball, etc...he even watched the ESPY's with me!), but he really, really likes YGG! We have a lot of episodes DVR'd and guess which one I always select for him to watch? The "Eat" episode so I can sing along!
I'm gonna eat, Yeah
Yummy, yummy
I'm gonna eat, Yeah
Yummy, yummy
Chicken! Yeah!
In my tummy
Party, party, Yeah!
In my tummy
Cheese! Yeah!
In my tummy
Party, party, Yeah!
In my tummy
Juice! Yeah!
In my tummy
Yeah, there's a party in my tummy
So yummy, so yummy
Yeah, there's a party in my tummy
So yummy, so yummy
Now, there's a party in my tummy
So yummy, so yummy, yummy
Carrots! Yeah!
In my tummy, Yeah
Green beans! Yeah!
In my tummy
There's a party in my tummy
So yummy, so yummy
Now there's a party in my tummy
So yummy, so yummy

Formula for Living
If you know me well you know I love to read. I'll read just about anything I can get my hands on. Al picked up the magazine Middle Tennessee Sports when we were walking by Dick's Sporting Goods the other day. I was reading it on our way home and read a really great article Rudy Kalis wrote about Jimmy Gentry. Jimmy Gentry coached football for 63 years. Now, semi-retired, he shared with Rudy his formula for living:
We are all shaped by the events of our lives. It's the lessons we learn from those experiences, good and bad, that define who we are and the legacy we pass on to others.
I agree completely.
If you get a chance to pick up the magazine (it's free!), read the entire article. It's a good one!
My camera is still not working! But, it should be on Friday (I hope!). I miss it so badly! I feel like I've missed so much over the last few days! I've tried using the video camera to take pics and it's just not up to par!
- The five most important words: "I am proud of you."
- The four most important words: "May I help you."
- The three most important words: "I love you."
- The two most important words: "Thank you."
- The most important word: "We" not I can do it together.

You'd Think It's A Holiday
At our house, this time of year, it is like a holiday! I can't remember when I started the back-to-school basket, but I know it's been since very early in our marriage. I love giving gifts. It doesn't matter the occasion, I just love coming up with gift ideas, preparing gifts, etc.
The basket started when it was time for Al to get ready for the new school year to start. He'd mention stuff that he needed; new shoes, pants, ties, school supplies, just whatever. It's kind of like a student starting the new school year, I figured teacher's should get new stuff too! What started out as something small has turned in to a tradition at the Bohannon house!
At first, I didn't really think Al cared about the back-to-school basket. Then, one year, I didn't do a basket. I just bought him stuff here & there and gave it to him as I got it. I overhead him telling Zolie he didn't get a basket! What? He still got all of the stuff, just not in a basket and not all at once! Now, Al starts dropping hints, "So, when am I going to get my basket?"
Last year, when Xander came along, guess what? He got a basket too! This year, Al was a little concerned the X-Man was going to get more than him! Ha!
This year I'm running behind on their baskets! I wanted to give them their baskets last weekend but I didn't have everything I needed. Then, yesterday, when I was ready my camera died! I couldn't believe it! So, I gave them their baskets today and used my video camera to take pics (the quality of these pics is not good...I hope I can figure out what's wrong with my camera SOON!). I think they were pretty happy with their baskets!

I'm so excited about my back-to-school basket!
Here they are! The 2010 back-to-school baskets!
Daddy, what's in your basket?
Hey Xander, I bet you didn't get any candy in your basket!
Hmm, let me see what I can get...
Wow, this is great!

Wow!
We had a super funny Xander moment yesterday morning. Al and I were getting ready when we heard what sounded like Xander tooting. It was quite the toot (I thought it was Al)! Anyway, when Xander was finished tooting, guess what he said? He said, “Wow!” and gave us his little silly grin. Al and I almost fell over laughing. He is the funniest little guy!
Here are some cute pictures we took after school! Normally, I slice his banana for him, but he was so impatient I let him have the whole banana! It was so funny watching him!

Super Fun Morning
We had a super fun Saturday morning! We met Brandy, Tyler & Emma at the doughnut shop. We had an assortment of doughnuts! Xander loved the ones with sprinkles!
After the doughnut shop, we went to a consignment. I racked up on some Fall/Winter clothes for the X-Man! While we were there, Brandy took Xander to the toy section while I was perusing the aisles of cute clothes. Xander picked up a little toy tool box and carried it around with him. Guess what he did? He flashed Brandy his cute smile, gave her the blue eyes, stuck out his hand with the tool box and said “buy." He wanted her to buy the tool box! Needless to say, he didn’t get the tool box. But, he did get a couple of other toys!

Xander absolutely loves Brandy!
Tyler is such a heartbreaker! I can’t believe he’s going in to the 3rd grade!
Isn’t Emma a doll? She’s so cute!
I think Xander's crushing on Emma!
